  • Torticollis/ Neck Tightness

Whether your child has been diagnosed with torticollis by your pediatrician, or you have noticed that he/she 1) prefers to look to one side over the other and 2) seems restricted in their neck motion, we can help by:

•Improving range of motion and encouraging equal use of both sides of the body

    •Using a hands-on, play-based approach to aid in achieving age-appropriate milestones

  • Plagiocephaly/ Head Flattening

You may have noticed that your little one has flatness on the back of their head, but you have no idea what to do about it. Here’s how we can help by:

•Working on optimal positioning to improve head shape without the use of a helmet, if appropriate

•Providing conjunctive therapy to improve range of motion if helmet therapy is needed

•Utilizing play-based therapy to promote the use of both sides of the body in preparation for meeting age-appropriate developmental milestones

  • Developmental Delay

If your pediatrician has expressed that your child is “behind” in their gross motor skills, or your caregiver intuition has kicked in that something may be little off in your little one’s movement, this is an area we can also help with by:

•Working on various gross motor skills including rolling, sitting, transitioning between developmental positions, crawling, and walking

•Screening for and addressing any inequalities of strength and/or range of motion that could be contributing to these delays to prevent further delay in the future

  • Body Tension and/or Lip/Tongue Tie

As a caregiver who is breastfeeding or bottle feeding your baby, you may have noticed that your baby has trouble obtaining and/or maintaining a latch, leaking a lot of milk out of their mouth, and/or nipple pain while you’re breastfeeding. We can help make this a more comfortable and satisfying experience for both you and your baby by:

•Assessing and addressing any body tightness that might be getting in the way of optimal positioning for feeding.

•Providing pre and post-op therapy for babies undergoing a lip and/or tongue tie release.
